Redbourn 20mph Area Engagement

Introduction

Hertfordshire County Council wants to hear your views on where 20mph speed limits may be appropriate in Redbourn. Our aim is to create safer, calmer streets for residents, support children walking to school, and make it easier and safer for everyone to move around the area.

Your feedback will play an important role in shaping decisions about whether the scheme proceeds and which roads may be included

4.

Main roads play an important role in moving traffic around Redbourn. For this reason, we would not propose that all main roads should have a 20mph speed limit. However, there may be sections of main roads where a 20mph speed limit can reduce traffic collisions and significantly improve road safety, such as where people need to get to places of worship, care homes, schools, parks or community facilities.

Are there any of the main roads listed below, or sections of these roads, where you think a 20mph speed limit should be considered?
